‘Swachhata Rally’ organised by BBMB; resident enthusiastically participated in the awareness rally

Bhakra Beas Management Board (BBMB) on Monday, May 26, 2025 organized a Swachhata Rally to spread public awareness about the importance and need of cleanliness as part of its 15-day Swachhata Pakhwada (16 to 31 May, 2025). The rally started from BBMB Officers Rest House, Sector 35, Chandigarh, which was flagged off by Chairman, BBMB, Manoj Tripathi. The main objective of the rally was to motivate the general public towards cleanliness and to actively contribute towards achieving the goals set under Swachh Bharat Mission.
On this occasion, Chairman Manoj Tripathi, while addressing the participants, called cleanliness a social responsibility and urged everyone to give priority to the cleanliness of not only their homes but also the public places around them. He also praised the various efforts being made by BBMB towards cleanliness and said that this initiative reflects the social sensitivity of the organization and its participation in nation building.
Senior officers of BBMB, employees and their families enthusiastically participated in this rally. The participants appealed to the people to maintain cleanliness by carrying posters and banners with slogans and messages related to cleanliness.

BBMB not only conducted rallies during this fortnight but also many other activities which included cleanliness drive, spreading public awareness through social media, tree plantation program, and cleanliness based workshops for employees. The aim of all these initiatives was not only to make the workplaces clean and beautiful but also to develop a positive attitude towards cleanliness in the society at large. Thus, this Swachhta Pakhwada of BBMB is emerging as an organized and meaningful effort, which will provide strong support to the Swachh Bharat Mission.
