Court issues orders not to stage a demonstration at Punjabi University

Regarding the fixed/daily wage employees who have been on dharna at Punjabi University for the past few days, the university authorities told that in the orders issued by the Honorable Court on June 2, it has been said that any dharna, gathering, meeting, demonstration, gherao etc. activity is prohibited within radius of 300 meters from outer boundary wall of the university. So according to the court orders, it is clear that a dharna cannot be staged inside the university campus. Employees cannot affect the functioning of the university in any way. The authorities said that these court orders have been brought to the notice of these employees.
ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਯੂਨੀਵਰਸਿਟੀ ਵਿਖੇ ਪਿਛਲੇ ਕੁੱਝ ਦਿਨਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਧਰਨੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਬੈਠੇ ਫਿਕਸ/ਦਿਹਾੜੀਦਾਰ ਕਰਮਚਾਰੀਆਂ ਸਬੰਧੀ ਯੂਨੀਵਰਸਿਟੀ ਅਥਾਰਟੀਜ਼ ਨੇ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਮਾਣਯੋਗ ਅਦਾਲਤ ਵੱਲੋਂ 2 ਜੂਨ ਨੂੰ ਜਾਰੀ ਹੋਏ ਹੁਕਮਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਿਹਾ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਯੂਨੀਵਰਸਿਟੀ ਦੀ ਚਾਰਦੀਵਾਰੀ ਤੋਂ 300 ਮੀਟਰ ਦੇ ਬਾਹਰ ਤੱਕ ਕਿਸੇ ਵੀ ਧਰਨੇ, ਇਕੱਠ, ਮੀਟਿੰਗ, ਇਕੱਤਰਤਾ, ਪ੍ਰਦਰਸ਼ਨ ਘਿਰਾਓ ਆਦਿ ਗਤੀਵਿਧੀ ਦੀ ਮਨਾਹੀ ਹੈ। ਸੋ ਅਦਾਲਤੀ ਹੁਕਮਾਂ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਸਪਸ਼ਟ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਯੂਨੀਵਰਸਿਟੀ ਕੈੰਪਸ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਧਰਨਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਲਗਾਇਆ ਜਾ ਸਕਦਾ। ਕਰਮਚਾਰੀ ਕਿਸੇ ਵੀ ਰੂਪ ਵਿੱਚ ਯੂਨੀਵਰਸਿਟੀ ਦੇ ਕੰਮ ਕਾਜ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਭਾਵਿਤ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰ ਸਕਦੇ। ਅਥਾਰਟੀਜ਼ ਨੇ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਅਦਾਲਤ ਦੇ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਹੁਕਮਾਂ ਸਬੰਧੀ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਰਮਚਾਰੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਧਿਆਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਲਿਆ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ।
