Sad News for Cinema Lovers: Diljit Dosanjh announces key decision on upcoming ‘Sardaar Ji 3’

The makers of Diljit Dosanjh starrer ‘Sardaar Ji 3’ with Neeru Bajwa, Manav Vij, Gulshan Grover, Sapna Pabbi, Pakistani actor Hania Aamir has decided to skip India release on June 27,2025.
As per available information, the film makers has decided to not to release the film in India following tensions between India and Pakistan after Pahalgam attack as the film has Pakistani actor Hania Aamir. The film is set to skip a theatrical release in India and premiere exclusively overseas on June 27, 2025.
Despite the climate, Diljit shared the trailer on his Instagram page Sunday night, writing, “Sardaar Ji 3 Releasing 27th June OVERSEAS Only ?? FADH LAO BHOOND DIAN LATTAN ??”
His team also promoted the song ‘Sohni Lagdi’, featuring him and Hania, with the teaser scheduled for release today. However, Indian fans won’t be able to watch the trailer on YouTube — it has been geo-blocked in India, with the message: “The uploader has not made this video available in your country.”
Sardaar Ji is one of the loved horror-comedy franchises of the Punjabi film industry. The first instalment of Sardaar Ji was directed by Rohit Jugraj, also starred Mandy Takhar and Neeru Bajwa. The film had a record opening in Punjabi cinema in 2015. Sardaar Ji 2 was also directed by Rohit. The second instalment of the Punjabi fantasy horror-comedy Sardaarji came out eight years ago, in 2016.
