Under his weekly program “Sadda MLA – Sade Vich” Cabinet Minister Harjot Bains interacts directly with the people of the area every Sunday. Hundreds of people who reach here share their problems one by one, and solutions are provided immediately on the spot. Along with representatives of panchayats, social service organizations, and religious groups, students, elders, and common people directly meet the Cabinet Minister to explain their difficulties, and efforts are made to resolve them right away.
This Seva Sadan, which has been established at 2 RVR Nangal, has now become a true solution center for the public. Every Sunday, hundreds of people come here. According to the people, after coming here they feel assured that their voice will be heard and their problems will be solved.
The initiative of Cabinet Minister Harjot Singh Bains is showing clear results: instead of merely registering complaints/problems, immediate, proper, and effective action is being taken. While listening to individual as well as community issues, the Minister issues instructions to the officials and fixes deadlines for solutions.
Every Sunday, an estimated 500 or more residents of the area attend this public court. The main problems raised include electricity, water, sewerage, drains, roads, schools, hospitals, basic needs of common people, employment, and youth-related issues. Inside Seva Sadan on Sundays, the atmosphere becomes like a fair.
Earlier as well, Cabinet Minister Harjot Singh Bains had organized such programs in village community centers, where he held public hearings and, along with administrative officers, resolved people’s issues on the spot. Under the “Sarkar Tuhade Duar” program, Bains has already toured hundreds of villages, where he provided grants and funds for the area’s development.
The Minister’s direct meeting with the common people is receiving wide appreciation on social media. This service-driven program is being highly praised from all sides. Today, the panches, sarpanches, elders, and youth who attended this camp said that this unique initiative has truly solved their problems. The hassle of running around government offices has now ended — problems are directly brought to the attention of the Cabinet Minister and resolved properly. This is a commendable effort.
