‘Ayurveda for People, Ayurveda for Planet’: Greetings for 10th National Ayurvedic Day-Vaidya Manu, Vandana Vats

Theme of 10th National Ayurveda Day is “Ayurveda for People, Ayurveda for Planet”. By designating 23 September as National Ayurveda Day India has given Ayurveda as global calendar identity. The day coincides with autumn equinox which signifies nature’ own balance and equilibrium. On this day sunlight and moonlight are nearly for same time.
Ayurveda, the science of life has already mentioned a balanced lifestyle management and harmony with nature so as to achieve the holistic well being of an individual.
“यत् पिंडे तत् ब्रह्मांडे”
We are a miniature version of the universe and environment outside us.
Being harmonious with mother nature is a bliss as well as our fundamental duty also. Healthy citizen can nurture a healthy country, a healthy country makes a healthy world and that results in a healthy mother Earth, our native planet. So following the Ayurvedic principles we can save ourselves and our mother earth.Human body is made up of panchtatva, Prtivi, Jam, Agni, Vayu, Aaksh. These combine in different portions to form three basics humoral elements, Vatt, Pitt and Kaph.
Balance of three along with mental calmness is health.
For everyone’s good health ayurveda emphasizes on following strong points (pillars of health) to follow everyday.
*Right food –आहार*( seasonal fruits and vegetables, taking small quantities of food, never eat without hunger, )
*Right sleep –निद्रा*(early to bed and 6hr sleep, this helps to utilize body energy for healing , repairing and regenerating cells of body)
*Right exercise– व्यायाम* * ( always do exercise to half of your body strength and seasons)
*Yoga– योग*(best way to connect inner conscious with higher conscious, pranayam, breathing exercises)
*Stress management –मानसिक स्वास्थ्य* ( to carry forward the hobbies that nurture your soul like reading, gardening, cooking, socializing etc)
*Detoxification —शोधन* (लंघन Or Upvaas is to detoxify our body atleast once a week is good)
*Right conduct सद्वृत पालन* (social interactions with your knowledge, friendship, donation, mercy, happiness and ignorance for unpleasent things.)
