To improve basic civic amenities for the people of Chandigarh, local MP and former Union Minister Manish Tewari inaugurated floodlights installed in the Sector 40 market and CCTV cameras in Maloya village and nearby areas, dedicating them to the public. The installations were funded through grants released from the MP’s local area development fund (MPLAD). Expressing gratitude to the MP, Chandigarh Congress President H.S. Lucky and Senior Deputy Mayor Jasbir Singh Bunty said that while many MPs have represented Chandigarh in the past, Tewari stands out for his active involvement and constant engagement with the people even after elections.
