Lalpura meeting with CMs of Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh on Issues of Rupnagar Transporters and Contractors

Bharatiya Janata Party District President of Rupnagar, Ajayvir Singh Lalpura, held a significant meeting with the  Chief Minister of Meghalaya, Conrad Kongkal Sangma, and the Chief Minister of Arunachal Pradesh, Pema Khandu. The meeting focused on addressing the concerns of transporters and contractors from Rupnagar district who are engaged in various infrastructure and transport-related projects across the northeastern states.

During the discussion, Lalpura highlighted that several contractors and transporters from Punjab, particularly from Rupnagar district, are working in states such as Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, and other parts of the Northeast. While contributing actively to road construction, transport, and development projects, they often face multiple challenges; including delays in obtaining permits, payment issues, security concerns, and difficulties in coordination with local administrations.

Lalpura urged both Chief Ministers to ensure fair opportunities and a supportive working environment for Punjabi entrepreneurs and workers. He remarked, “Punjabi workers and entrepreneurs are contributing to the development of every corner of the nation through their hard work. It is essential that they receive a smooth and conducive environment to continue their efforts.”

Both Chief Ministers, Conrad Sangma and  Pema Khandu, listened to the concerns with great sensitivity and assured that necessary actions would be taken soon to resolve these issues. They also acknowledged the valuable contribution of Punjabi entrepreneurs to the growth and development of the northeastern region and promised all possible cooperation in the future.

Expressing gratitude, Ajayvir Singh Lalpura thanked both leaders for their positive attitude and cooperative approach. He stated that this dialogue marks a significant step toward resolving the ongoing issues and also strengthens the spirit of unity and collaboration among different regions of the country.

The meeting truly embodied the spirit of “Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat”, building a bridge of development, cooperation, and brotherhood from the North to the East.
