Online Tent City Booking Portal for 350th Commemoration of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji at Sri Anandpur Sahib launched-Bains

Information and Public Relations Minister Harjot Singh Bains on Wednesday launched a fully online ‘Tent City Booking Portal’ for devotees visiting Sri Anandpur Sahib on the occasion of historic 350th Commemoration of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji from November 19 to November 29.
While addressing the media conference at the media center, Harjot Singh Bains said that this online booking system of tent cities is totally based on a first come first serve mechanism to ensure a smooth, convenient, and comfortable stay for pilgrims expected to attend the holy commemorative events.
Giving details of the digital booking facility, he said that it’s now live and accessible to all citizens through the connect Punjab portal and mSewa Mobile App. Devotees can now effortlessly log in using a mobile OTP or password, making the process simple, safe, and user-friendly. Devotees can also book their rooms through government sewa kendras.
Citizens can book their accommodation by uploading their Identity proof/e-KYC adding that he said that Punjab Government has designed the booking system to ensure maximum ease and accessibility for devotees.
He appealed to all devotees who are planning to visit Sri Anandpur Sahib to make timely use of this facility and ensure a seamless accommodation experience during the sacred 350th Commemoration of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji.
Highlighting the feature of online facility of tent cities, Cabinet Minister divulged that a massive workforce of skilled workers have been working day and night at village Chandesar, Jhingri and the Powercom grounds to ensure maximum comfort for the Sangat arriving from across India and abroad.

Cabinet Minister further informed that the tent City bookings have been enabling every family to reserve accommodation for two days. The Tent Cities are being developed at three major locations—Chandesar, Jhingri and Powercom Ground—covering a total of nearly 80 acres.
Bains said that as many as 10 thousand devotees will reside comfortably in the tent cities. Sangat from all the 22 districts of states except Rupnagar can book their rooms online as local residents should easily return to their home after paying homage at Sri Anandpur Sahib. In addition, Punjab Government will deploy 500 e-rickshaws and golf carts to transport visitors to and from the main event sites.
He said that all three tent cities have also been symbolically dedicated to important historical figures as the Chandesar Tent City to Mata Chak Nanaki Ji, the Jhingri Tent City to Bhai Mati Das Ji and the Powercom Ground Tent City to Bhai Sati Das Ji. Devotees from within India.
On this occasion, while giving the detailed presentation of tent cities and other key arrangements for convenience of devotees, Deputy Commissioner Varjeet Walia said that District Administration has run the cleanness drive to keep the holy city clean and beautiful as crores of devotees expected to come on the historic 350th `Commemoration of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji.
ADC (D) Chandrajyoti Singh, Assistant Commissioner Abhimanyu Malik and other senior officers were also present on this occasion.
