Dr. Khushpreet Singh Brar, Assistant professor and Incharge of Department of Library and Information Science, Sri Guru Granth Sahib World University, Fatehgarh Sahib has been unanimously elected the Vice President of Indian Association of Teachers of Library and Information Science (IATLIS).
The association was founded in 1969 and has been working continuously for the welfare of libraries, library professionals and information seekers. Dr. Brar from World University was elected as VP of IATLIS, in the general body meeting of the association. He had been working as regional secretary of the association uptill now. Besides him, Dr. I. V. Malhan, Professor, Central University of Himachal Pradesh has been elected as the President of the association and Dr. Jagtar Singh, Professor, Punjabi University, Patiala has been elected Director, Collaborations and Partnerships.
Dr. Brar is also the Vice President of Punjab Library association and Secretary of SATKAL trust. Dr. Brar thanked the members of the association and said the he will continue to work for the benefit of the association and the for the development of library and information sciences in the future as well.
