High Court issues order on SSP Patiala’s viral audio clipping

The Punjab and Haryana High Court has ordered the checking of authenticity of a forensic examination by the Central Forensic Science Laboratory (CFSL) in Chandigarh for the controversial conference call viral audio allegedly featuring Patiala SSP Varun Sharma.The court has also ordered the authorities to take the mobile phones of all other officers also for investigation.
The order came following petitions filed by the Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) and requested an FIR and CBI probe. SAD leaders, including Harsimrat Kaur Badal, appealed to the Election Commission for the SSP’s suspension, highlighting alleged patterns of obstruction and selective treatment.
