Govt Bikram College organised Blood donation camp in association with Jain Sabha, HDFC, IQuest, Amar Hospital

Govt. Bikram College of Commerce, Patiala, in association with S.S. Jain Sabha, 21-22 No. Phatak, Patiala, HDFC Bank Ltd., iQuest Institute & Dr Chetan Singla (Plastic Surgeon) from Amar Hospital organised Mega Blood Donation Camp in the college premises. The camp was organised with the noble aim of encouraging voluntary blood donation for the Thalassemia patients and spreading awareness about the importance of saving lives through this humanitarian act.
The Guest of Honour, Principal Prof. (Dr.) Kusum Lata highlighted that blood donation is a noble humanitarian act and a meaningful service to society. She appreciated the efforts of all organisers and volunteers. She also motivated the volunteers to participate actively in such social welfare activities and emphasized the role of educational institutions in serving society.
The college Event Coordinator Dr. Reetu Kapoor emphasised that blood donation is one of the noblest forms of service to humanity, as a single donation has the potential to save multiple lives. Asst. Prof. Vivek Kumar played an important role in the camp. College Steno Kawaljit Singh also donated blood for this noble cause.
General Secretary of Jain Sabha CA Mahesh Garg told the media that this Camp was organized under the able guidance of Sabha Patron Adv Shiv Kumar Jain & Pawan Gupta , Chairman Rajeev Jain and President Adv Ashwani Jain in memory of 85th Diksha Divas of Jain Achariya Sangh Shasta Gurudev Sh Sudarshan Lal Ji 82nd Diksha Divas of Tapodhani Trivani. He thanked Principal Prof. (Dr.) Kusum Lata for her kind support and cooperation, which helped to achieve the milestone of 100 blood units and also expressed gratitude to Dr. Reetu Kapoor for her dedicated coordination.
Chairman of Sabha Rajeev Jain thanked Naveen Gupta, Area Head, Patiala Cluster, HDFC Bank Ltd., Rohit Bishnoi, Nitish Garg & Dheeraj Agarwal, Directors iQuest Institute, Dr Chetan Singla, Plastic Surgeon from Amar Hospital, Rishabh Jain from Lakshya Institute, Leela Bhawan, Patiala for extending their full support.
The camp was conducted under the medical supervision of Asstt. Professor Dr Rajni Bassi from Blood Transfusion Department of Govt Medical College, Patiala, ensuring that all medical norms and safety protocols were strictly followed. Prior to donation, donors underwent routine medical check-ups to ensure their fitness. A large number of donors voluntarily donated blood and contributed towards this life-saving cause. Donors were honoured with plants in beautiful pots as a token of appreciation for their selfless services.
The college administration expressed sincere gratitude to S.S. Jain Sabha, HDFC Bank Ltd., iQuest Directors, Dr Chetan Singla, the medical team, sponsors and volunteers for their cooperation in making the blood donation camp a grand success.
