IIT Ropar Technology & Innovation Foundation Launches Advanced MDP and Advanced ESDP under MSME Ministry Scheme
Bahadurjeet Singh/royalpatiala.in News/ Rupnagar,March 3,2026 IIT Ropar Technology and Innovation Foundation, in collaboration with the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, has commenced two flagship advanced-level programmes under the Entrepreneurship Skill Development Programme (ESDP) Scheme the Advanced Management Development Programme (MDP) and the Advanced Entrepreneurship Skill Development Programme (ESDP).
The inaugural session was graced by Chandrajyoti, IAS (ADC (D) Rupnagar), who delivered an inspiring introductory address on entrepreneurship. She emphasised the importance of innovation, resilience, and proactive leadership in today’s competitive ecosystem, setting a dynamic and motivating tone for the five-day programme.
Dr. Radhika Trikha, CEO, encouraged participants to leverage mentorship and ecosystem support to convert knowledge into scalable impact. Dr. Mukesh Kestwal, CIO, highlighted incubation mechanisms, government schemes, and innovation-driven initiatives, stressing lignment with institutional and policy frameworks. Aditya Madan, Chief Liaison Officer, joined online and reaffirmed the Foundation’s commitment to strengthening India’s entrepreneurial ecosystem.
The programme features expert-led sessions by: Prof. H.P. Singh on entrepreneurial growth and global market entry strategies; Sachin Korla, Founder & CEO, UdyamWell, on ntrepreneurial mindset and sustainable impact models; Ms. Maya Sherman, Senior Tech & Innovation Advisor, Embassy of Israel in India, on AI literacy and startup acceleration; Divyashree Garg on financial strategy and enterprise sustainability; Saurabh Arora, Head of IPR & Technology Transfer, on leveraging intellectual property; RudrakshVikram on digital tools, branding, and online platforms; VarinderSaini on legal awareness and risk management; Jyoti Saroop, Founder-Director, Unati Cooperative, on cooperative leadership and team building and and Prerna Arora on “How Startups Can Win with SEO: Turning Search into Sales.
The programmes witnessed participation from over 50+ attendees from over 10 states of the country, with a majority representing Startups and Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). These advanced initiatives are designed to strengthen managerial capabilities, entrepreneurial competencies, and strategic thinking among startup founders and MSME leaders, enabling them to scale their ventures sustainably.
