Punjab Cabinet sees quick reshuffle; two portfolios reassigned within 24 hours

In a swift development, the Punjab Cabinet witnessed a minor reshuffle within 24 hours, with two key departments reassigned to different ministers.
Following the arrest of Laljit Singh Bhullar on March 23, 2026, the Transport and Prisons departments under his charge were allocated to Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann.
However, in less than 24 hours, the government carried out a minor cabinet reshuffle. The Transport Department has now been assigned to Finance Minister Harpal Singh Cheema, while the Prisons Department has been given to Dr. Ravjot Singh.
