One-Day Seminar on VLSI Design held at Bathinda; IEI Guest Rooms Inaugurated

The Institution of Engineers (India), Bathinda Local Centre, successfully organized a one-day seminar on “VLSI Design in the Era of AI, IoT, and 6G” on Friday.

The seminar saw active participation from students, faculty members, and industry professionals. The objective of the event was to create awareness about the latest advancements in VLSI technology and its integration with emerging fields like Artificial Intelligence, Internet of Things, and 6G communication.

Tara Singh Kamal, Former Vice President of IEI, attended as the Chief Guest. On this occasion, he also inaugurated two newly developed guest rooms at the Bathinda Local Centre, marking an important step towards improving infrastructure and facilities for visiting members and dignitaries.

Amarpartap Singh, Professor in the ECE Department at SLIET Longowal, graced the event as the Guest of Honour and delivered an insightful talk on emerging trends in VLSI design.

The program was presided over by Jagpal Singh Ubhi, Chairman of the Bathinda Local Centre. Jagtar Singh Sivia, Chairman of the Electronics & Telecommunications Division Board, IEI (India), also addressed the gathering and motivated students to explore research opportunities in advanced electronics.

The event was efficiently coordinated by Amandeep Kaur Sarao, Honorary Secretary, Bathinda Local Centre.

The seminar concluded with an interactive session, followed by a vote of thanks. The organizers expressed their appreciation to all dignitaries and participants for contributing to the success of the event.
