International Turban Day held at Gurdwara Dukh Nivaran Sahib to highlight significance of Sikh Turban- Kohli

The first of its kind #International Turban Day, conceptualised by Gurjeet Singh Kohli, was successfully organised at Gurdwara Dukh Nivaran Sahib, Patiala.

The initiative was aimed at spreading awareness about the cultural, spiritual, and historical significance of the Sikh turban, while encouraging the younger generation to take pride in their heritage.

The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from more than 500 children, who took part in turban-tying activities and cultural demonstrations. The programme also served as an educational platform, highlighting the turban not only as a religious symbol but as a representation of identity, dignity, discipline, and responsibility in Sikh tradition.

Speaking on the occasion, Gurjeet Singh Kohlii stated that the vision behind creating International Turban Day is to strengthen understanding across communities and inspire the youth to stay connected to Sikh values and history.
