SGPC will publish research papers presented during the National/International seminar to be organised to commemorate the 550th Parakash Purab of Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji in different parts of the country and foreign countries, so that Scholars enlighten the masses with the teachings of Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji and continue their research work for the welfare of humanity. These words were shared by the President SGPC, Bhai Gobind Singh Longowal during the first National seminar organized at Sri Guru Granth Sahib World University, Fatehgarh Sahib. He said that teachings of Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji enlighten the path for brighter future of the society as well as of the individuals throughout the world. He further added that it is golden opportunity to understand the philosophy and teachings of Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji to face the contemporary challenges being faced by the humanity in different spheres of social life.

During his address former President SGPC and Head, Seminar Committee shared that motive of these seminars is to disseminate the teachings of Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji for welfare of humanity through the discourses during these events, after intensive research work. He lauded the efforts of SGPC and its higher educational institutions including Sri Guru Granth Sahib World University, in this direction. He further shared that young scholars and learners will highly benefitted from these seminars. During the seminar Darbara Singh Guru, Member Trust, of Sri Guru Granth Sahib World University said that directives lead the way for betterment of whole humanity. He thanked President Bhai Gobind Singh Longowal, Scholars other personalities, staff member and students for attending the seminar.

In the beginning of the seminar Bhai Gurcharan Singh Grewal welcomed the dignitaries, speakers and scholars shared the structure of the seminars. During the seminar, all speakers including Dr. Prabhjot Kaur, Former Principal, Gurmat College, Patiala, Dr. Mohammed Idrish, Professor, Department of History, Punjabi University, Patiala, Dr. Kirandeep Kaur and Dr. BirBikram Singh shared life and teachings of Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji. All the speakers presented their views on the topics related to universal brotherhood and political, religious, social, women empowerment and environmental issues in the light of Gurbani. They mentioned that Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji gave his guidance related to other subjects like that of science, psychology and world philosophy.  At the end of the national seminar Vice-Chancellor, Dr. Prit Pal Singh thanked the dignitaries, staff member and students for making this event a grand success.

The national seminar was organized in the sacred presence of Sri Guru Granth Sahib and started with the Gurbani Keertan by Dr. Nivedita Singh, Professor, Punjabi University, Patiala and her team. President Bhai Longwal, Speakers and other digniteries were collectively honoured by Pror. Kirpal Singh Badungar, Darbara Singh Guru and Dr. Pritpal Singh.

On the occasion, Head Granthi, Bhai Harpal Singh, Member Secretary, University Trust, Darbara Singh Guru, Bhai Gurcharan Singh Grewal, Karnail Singh Panjoli, Gurmeet Singh Buh, Avtar Singh Ria, Paramjit Kaur Landran, Jaipal singh Mandian, Jagdeep Singh Cheema, Swaran Singh Charnarthal, Sukhdev Singh Bhura Kohana. Kulwinder Singh Ramdas, Dr. Parmvir Singh, Vice Chancellor Dr. Prit Pal Singh, Principal Kashmir Singh, Dr. Nivedita Singh, Dr. Gurtej Singh, Principal Gurcharn Singh Lamba, Dr. Chamkour Singh, Darshan Singh Longowal PA, Bhangwant Singh Dhangera ,Didar Singh Bhatti etc. were present.
