Former president of the District Congress Committee Ludhiana Urban and former chairman of the Punjab Large Industrial Development Board, Pawan Dewan, expressed deep concern over the hardships being faced by people because land registrations are not being processed due to NOC-related and other complications. He said that this situation is causing major financial losses to both ordinary citizens and traders. In this regard, a meeting was organized at Sarabha Nagar.

Addressing the gathering, Dewan said that people generally consider selling land the easiest way to meet domestic and business-related financial needs. However, due to the government’s policies, people are unable to fulfill their requirements. He added that despite the government’s claims, there has been no improvement in the situation.

Dewan revealed that he has been receiving messages from many people who urgently need money but are unable to sell their land. He stressed that people buy land with the expectation that it can be sold in times of need, but the current government has only increased public difficulties. He further stated that the situation has become so serious that reports of suicides by affected individuals have also surfaced.

Dewan said that every section of society is unhappy with the government’s policies. He claimed that people are waiting for the 2027 Punjab Assembly elections to remove the Aam Aadmi Party from power. He also urged party workers to prepare strongly for the upcoming assembly elections.
