Students give warm welcome to new principal of Govt Bikram College Prof. Skinder Kaur

Prof. Skinder Kaur assumed charge as the new Principal of Government Bikram College of Commerce, Patiala on 8 May 2026. On this occasion, she received a warm welcome from the students, teachers, and non-teaching staff of the college. The students expressed their happiness by presenting bouquets of flowers to the new Principal and congratulated her on assuming the new responsibility. The college campus was filled with joy and enthusiasm.
While addressing the gathering, Prof. Skinder Kaur said she is committed to further strengthening the college’s educational, cultural, and disciplinary traditions. She encouraged the students to make hard work, discipline, and moral values an integral part of their lives. She also assured everyone that every possible effort would be made for the students’ welfare and all-around development.
It is noteworthy that Prof. Skinder Kaur previously served as a professor at the Government. College for Girls, Patiala, for nearly three decades. Thereafter, she was promoted and successfully served as the Principal of Nawab Jassa Singh Ahluwalia Govt. College, Kapurthala. Considering her vast experience and administrative capabilities, the college fraternity is hopeful that under her leadership, the institution will achieve new heights of success.
