Petrol and diesel prices were raised by Rs 3 per litre on Friday, days after Prime Minister Narendra Modi urged people to cut fuel consumption, exercise restraint and work from home amid rising energy concerns.
The govt on Friday increased the fuel prices by Rs 3 per litre as the Middle East war and the blockade of the Strait of Hormuz continued to disrupt oil and gas supplies, pushing energy rates higher.
Meanwhile, CNG prices in Delhi have also been revised upward by Rs 2 per kg.
