As per available information, the enforcement directorate (ED) has summoned Sandeep Kumar, IAS, Chief Administrator Greater Mohali Area Development Authority (GMADA)
As per sources, India’s premier agency has summoned the CA, GMADA in the recently held raids on real estate giants –Suntec Indian Cooperative Housing Building Society) , Altus Space Builders Private Limited etc at Mohali, Kharar, Chandigarh
On May 8 and 9, the ED raided 12 locations across Mohali, New Chandigarh, and Chandigarh as part of an ongoing money-laundering probe.
Enforcement Directorate (ED) is now scrutinising land procurement linked to GMADA’s upcoming Eco City-3 project and other proposed urban zones in Mullanpur (New Chandigarh).
As per reports the investigation, ED teams have visited the Majri tehsil in New Chandigarh, and sought detailed revenue and ownership records from multiple tehsil offices in Mohali district. The agency has collected jamabandis, mutation records, sale deeds and registry details related to land acquired for Eco City-3, low-density housing projects and commercial corridors under the New Chandigarh master plan.

On March 18,2026 royalpatiala.in had highlighted a real estate scam under news heading “GMADA’s Silent Shift: Commercial land turned Residential for Big Builders, raising concerns of government loss” highlighted how the Greater Mohali Area Development Authority (GMADA) is facing scrutiny over alleged changes to the Master Plan that enabled the auction of land reserved under the Mixed Land Use (MLU) category to real estate developers for high-rise residential projects.
GMADA authorities have changed the master plan as per their wishes and allotted land through an auction. The said land, reserved under the MLU category, has been auctioned for the construction of high-rise flats to real estate giants.
