Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar Deputy Commissioner Gulpreet Singh Aulakh chaired a high-level review meeting with petrol pump owners and LPG dealership holders to assess the availability and supply position of petrol, diesel and LPG cylinders across the district.

During the meeting, the Deputy Commissioner held detailed discussions with stakeholders and reviewed the existing reserves along with the daily supply status of essential petroleum commodities. He directed all petrol pump operators and gas agency holders to ensure uninterrupted and smooth supply to consumers without causing any inconvenience to the public.

Aulakh stated that as per the latest details received from oil companies, the supply condition of petroleum products in the district remains completely normal. He said there was no shortage of petrol, diesel or LPG in the district and urged residents not to indulge in panic buying or unnecessary hoarding of fuel and gas cylinders.

The Deputy Commissioner cautioned that panic buying and excessive stocking of essential commodities could create artificial scarcity and disturb the normal supply chain, leading to inconvenience for the general public. He appealed to people to purchase fuel and LPG only as per their routine requirements.
