IIT Ropar’s ZEITGESIST 2019 ended with splendid performance by Diljit Dosanjh

Zeitgeist, the annual cultural festival of IIT Ropar came to a close on the 13th of October, 2019. The organizers as well as the participants continued to show their enthusiasm and exuberance till the final day of the event. Students from various colleges across India participated in the various events that stretched across three days of the festival.

It was the final day of the fest, which featured Diljit Dosanjh, and as Diljit moved from one side of the stage to another, dancing to his songs – his moves perfectly in sync with the lyrics – the students followed suit, copying his moves, and even adding their own steps. Enjoying the concert was not enough; the world should know that they are having fun. So many youngsters went live on Instagram, facebook during the concert.

Lashkara is the fashion show where teams from different colleges participate and show their fashion skills and creativity. The action and excitement of this event was unparalleled.

Mr. and Mrs. ZEITGEIST  invited individual entries and was an amazing and exciting event for both the audience and the participants. The prestige of this competition was seen in the fact that last year’s winners got to star in a TV advertisement. This year Mr. Zetgeist is Mr. ARSHPRET SINGH from Rayat and Bahra College and Ms. Zeitgeist is Ms. PANKHURI SAXENA from IIT Ropar.

Torque   The war of bands was also organized and was one of the most exhilarating and mesmerizing events in the ZEITGEIST calendar. Playing host to some of the best and upcoming bands of India this is one of the must watch events of ZEITGEIST.

On the third day,   Rangoli – Fine Arts, Waltz – Dance and many more literary events were conducted.  These games were a test of overall personality acumen, mental agility and resilience to perform various art and cultural activities.
