9.50 lacs scholarship distributed by Sarbat Da Bhala Trust to Modi college students

Multani Mal Modi College, Patiala organized a special function to distribute scholarships to 95 deserving students of the college by Dr. S.P.S. Oberoi, Managing Trustee, Sarbat Da Bhala Charitable Trust. Inderjeet Gill, Director Education, Sarbat Da Bhala Cheritable Trust and Gagandeep Singh, General Secretary, Sarbat Da Bhala Charitable Trust were also present on the occasion.

College Principal Dr. Khushvinder Kumar welcomed the Chief Guest and other guests and said that ‘Sarbat Da Bhala Trust’ has become a symbol of social welfare and a hope for better education and affordable health services for number of lives across the globe. Inderjeet Gill discussed various activities and schemes initiated by the ‘Sarbat Da Bhala Trust’ for the welfare of underprivileged and marginalized sections of the society.

Dr. S. P. S. Oberoi while addressing the students motivated them to work hard and to dedicate themselves for the betterment of our society. He also distributed the prizes to the winners of the ‘Quiz Contest’ organized by the college focusing on the fundamental aspects of Indian Constitution to mark the Constitution Day. He also handed over the cheque (Rupees Nine Lakh and Fifty Thousand) of scholarships for the needy and deserving students of Modi College.

A sketch of him was presented as token of gratitude to SP Singh by  Jasneet Kaur, B.A.-III student and a winner in Dera Baba Nanak Online Youth Festival for Sketch of Shri Guru Nanak Devi Ji. The stage was conducted by Prof. Ved Prakash Sharma, Dean, Students Welfare. Vote of thanks was presented by Vice Principal Dr. Baljinder Kaur. All students and staff members were present on the occasion.
