PSPCL gave high voltage power shock to thousands of its employees

Thousands of Punjab State Power Corporation Limited employees, who went on three day strike for not getting salaries on time, got a high power shock from PSPCL management.

The management decided to deduct salary from the agitating employees along with break in service for three days i.e from December 3 to December 5, 2019 as a disciplinary action for disobeying the management request to not to go on strike and call off the strike.

The Punjab State Power Corporation Limited (PSPCL) employees are gathered under the banner of the PSEB employees’ joint forum, which comprises various worker unions.

“The employees participating in unjustified strike will face disciplinary proceedings, which will result in break in their service and the deduction of salary on the principle of ‘no work, no pay’,” said the PSPCL management.

“In spite of the strike, the power supply is normal throughout the state” said a spokesperson of PSPCL. He regretted any inconvenience faced by the consumers because of incomplete official work. Not buckling under the management’s pressure, the employees responded to the worker unions’
