BBSBEC GETS NBA ACCREDITATION

Baba Banda Singh Bahadur Engineering College, Fatehgarh Sahib has got its two B.Tech. courses – Computer Science & Engineering and Mechanical Engineering  accredited for the third time by the National Board of Accreditation (NBA). The NBA has accredited both the courses for a period of three years.

Prof. Kirpal Singh Badungar, President SGPC and  College Management Trust said that the SGPC, apart from proliferation of Sikh religion, is contributing to the imparting of quality education to students. It has set up a number of educational institutes in the medical, engineering, management and other fields in & outside Punjab. It has been supporting its educational institutions to uplift the standard of education and would continue doing so in future as well. Badungar  congratulated the college principal, Maj. Gen. (Dr) GS Lamba and his team for this marvelous achievement.

Principal, Maj. Gen. (Dr) GS Lamba further informed  that the NBA team had visited college premises in May this year and inspected the Computer Science & Engg. and Mechanical Engg. departments.  BBSBEC has always been proud  of its quality teaching methodology, outcome based education policy and interactive education for its students and with the accreditation from the NBA it’s claim in being one of the best colleges in the region has now again been strengthened. Congratulating the BBSBEC family, the students and management, who are major stakeholders in imparting quality education to the society, he further said that our persistent hard work had given us the desired result. He further said that the heads of departments Dr Lakhvir Singh (ME) and Dr Baljit Singh Khera (CSE) along with their staff members deserve special appreciation for this achievement. In his message to alumni of BBSBEC he said that such a broad base of alumni has always been a backbone to BBSBEC and it has played a crucial role in obtaining accreditation.  College policy to have institute industry interaction and exposure to its students in latest software & hardware was appreciated by the NBA team even, and we will keep marching in this direction, asserted the principal.
