Spring Festival to begin at GNDU from March 17 to 20; exhibition will be open for public

Guru Nanak Dev University is organizing Spring Festival of Flowers, Plants, Rangoli-cum-Seminar from March 17-20 near Sri Guru Granth Sahib Bhawan of the University. This festival will be organize at National level to create awareness among youth about nature as per the guidelines and vision of Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Jaspal Singh Sandhu. Apart from flower lovers, a large number of competitors will also participate in various events relating to flowers, ornamental plants along with cacti and succulent plants including Rongoli with flower petals and artificial materials. A large number of prizes will also be distributed among winners.

Spring Festival to begin at GNDU from March 17 to 20; exhibition will be open for public.Dr. Jaswinder Singh Bilga, Consultant Horticulture said that this festival is being jointly organized by Department of Landscaping & Department of Botanical and Environmental Sciences of the University. He said that on March 17, (Tuesday) Collection of Entry Forms will be received from 09.00 AM to 05.00 PM and on March 18 (Wednesday) collection of pots and Rangoli entries will be received from 09.00 AM to 04.00 PM. On March 19 (Thursday) Judgement of pots and Rangoli entries will be displayed from 10.00 AM to 12.30 PM while Inauguration of exhibition will be held on 12.30 PM. Exhibition will be open for public from 1.00 PM to 06.00 PM. He said that a Seminar on Floriculture and Horticulture will be organized on March 20 (Friday) at Sri Guru Granth Sahib Bhawan on 2.00 PM – 03.30 PM and Prize Distribution will be held on 3.30 PM. He said that exhibition will be open for public: 09.00 AM to 05.00 PM.
