Punjab govt to resume Toll Plazas on State highways

Punjab government has decided to resume the toll plazas on state highways from May, 4,2020 at 00:00 hours.
In a letter issued by Chief Engineer (IP) Pb. PWD B&R Branch, Chandigarh, today directed to resume the toll plazas from May,4,2020 on State Roads. It further states that “it shall be mandatory to ensure social distancing, sanitization, frequent washing of hands, putting up masks, hand gloves and other preventive measures in terms of the guidelines/ instructions issued by the Government of India and state Government of Punjab to spread of Covid 19. “
It further states that “ if a toll plaza falls within containment zone as per consolidated guidelines, issued by Ministry of Home affairs, Government of India and Government of Punjab from time to time, then collection of toll at such toll plaza will remain temporarily suspended upto May,17,2020.
