Police DAV paid tribute to Lord Mahavira & Jesus Christ

A special assembly was organized at Police D.A.V Public School, Patiala in order to mark Mahavira Jayanti and Good Friday. Students of Tulip House paid floral tributes to Lord Mahavira and Jesus Christ. Tanu of class X-A1 spoke on the teachings and life history of the great guru.

She emphasized on the need to inculcate his preachings in our lives in order to be successful as today man is running after materialistic things. Students were mesmerized by the bhajans sung by school choir and made the ambiance spiritual. Amrin of class X-A1 spoke on the importance of Good Friday especially for Christians which is also called as Holy Friday or Black Friday. On this day Jesus Christ was crucified by the Romans. He was mercilessly nailed on a big cross which is a sacred symbol of Christians. People visit Churches and offer prayers. Special carols were sung on this day by the students.

Speaking on this occasion the school Principal, Meena Thapar said that students must believe in non-violence and truth so as to lead a blissful life. She further added to have faith in God and love & serve the needy to remove sin from the world as preached by Jesus Christ. She applauded the efforts of students and staff in making the days reminiscable for everyone.
