SSP Patiala streamlining CM city police; issues another transfer orders

After taking the reins of chief minister’s home district as senior superintendent of police, Vikramjeet Duggal ,IPS of 2007 cadre on July 31,2020, is working tirelessly to streamline the Patiala police.
In this context he once again made changes in the district police officials and issues the transfer order of officials and asks them to join their new place of postings, immediately. Yesterday, in his process to streamline the Patiala police, he had issue the transfer orders of 273 police officials in the district.
Joined Punjab Police on deputation on 4th Sept 2018 and with first posting as AIG Counter Intelligence, Punjab, he remained SSP Amritsar (Rural) from 18th April 2019 till he joined as SSP Patiala.
Duggal is known for taking challenges, head-on. He passed the Civil Services Exam 2006 with 124th rank and has been selected to the Indian Police Service and got the Andhra Pradesh cadre in 2007 and served as district police chief for 5 districts of erstwhile AP and Telangana states: SSP Nizamabad District ,Vishakhapatnam District, Nalgonda District, Adilabad District, Commissioner of Police, Ramagundam All through his career, Vikramjeet has prevailed upon more than 150 Naxalites and has successfully got them into mainstream life.He has mostly worked in Maoist hit areas of both the states of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, which earned him an excellent name and reputation among the Telugu people and the respective Governments, due to his various initiatives towards Community Engagement and like exercises. Duggal has also helped many among them Naxalites,who came into the main stream, to secure jobs for them.
During his stint at Andhra Pradesh/ Telangana an International organisation — ” International Organisation of Chief of Police”, IACP — which is working to honour such police officers battling terrorism and securing help of common man to tackle it, studied Vikramjeet Duggal’s works and selected him for “Home Land Security Award”, which was conferred on him in America.
Even Vikram Jeet Duggal IPS received the “SMART POLICING AWARD for the best practices in identifying accident black spots through ACCIDENT RESOLUTION TEAMS (ART) comprising of various stakeholders/line departments. The award was given away on 31.05.2018 by the FICCI (Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry) during Homeland Security Conference 2018, New Delhi.”
