Inter College and Inter School mathematical model competitions organised at Khalsa College

Inter-College and Inter- School Mathematical model competition was held on 5feb ,2021 organised by the P.G. Department of Mathematics, Khalsa College, Patiala, sponsored by DBT-Govt. of India under Star college scheme. The chief guest for the event was Dr. Rakesh Kumar, Punjabi University Patiala. 7 teams from colleges from Punjab & Haryana and 15 teams from schools in Patiala District participated in it.
A large number of students came up with unique and creative ideas and concepts on Mathematics. They made unique and creative Models. The judges for this event were Dr. Varun Jain, Multani Modi college, Patiala, S. Amandeep Singh, Delhi public School, Patiala, Mrs. Monika Bhanot, D.A.V school, Patiala.
In Inter college competitions, G.S.S.D.G.S Khalsa College, Patiala got first and also second and S.D. College Ambala Cantt. got third positions and In Inter-school competitions, Delhi public school, Patiala, D.A.V Public School, Patiala, Budha Dal Public School, Patiala got First, second and third prize respectively.
Two consolation prizes in each level were also provided to the students.
Principal Dr. Dharminder Singh Ubha blessed and motivated the students to think with more practical ideas and Deputy Principal Dr. Jasleen kaur distributed prizes to all the winners and wished them good luck for their future endeavours.
Dr Gurmeet Singh, Head and Vice Principal, Khalsa college, Patiala, welcomed all the participants and teachers. He also delivered a lecture on “Road to Success” and motivated the students to think more critically.
Dr. Bharat Goyal conducted the stage. Prof. Harpreet Kaur, Prof. Rashi Bansal, Dr. Parampreet Kaur, Prof. Narinder Kaur, Prof. Gurwinder Kaur, Dr. Amanpreet Singh, Prof. Amit Kumar, Prof. Sukhjeet Kaur made the efforts to organize the event a triumphant.
At the end Prof. Namrata Singla, Star college, co-ordinator, gave the massive gratitude to all and closed the chapter of this event.
