Transport minister on Capt’s loyalist KK Sharma- who is he? I don’t know him

Punjab Transport minister Amarinder Singh Raja Warring today feigned ignorance towards former chief minister Capt Amarinder Singh loyalist KK Sharma, who is the chairman of Pepsu road transport corporation PRTC – a state owned largest Transport Corporation.

Raja warring today came to Patiala enroute to Sri Muktsar Sahib and met the staff of PRTC. PRTC additional managing director Nitesh Singla (PCS), general manager Surinder Singh  along with other officers and staff received the transport minister at PRTC depot .

When asked by journalist that PRTC chairman KK Sharma didn’t come to meet him, warring said “who is KK Sharma ? I don’t know. He might by busy in his personal chores.”

KK Sharma is a congress leader from Patiala and amongst the first one’s who were appointed by the Capt Amarinder Singh led government in 2017. He is very close to Capt Aamarinder Singh’s  family.

When contacted PRTC Chairman KK Sharma, he said “yesterday I was with member parliament Preneet kaur in a religious function till around 10:30 pm. By around midnight I slept and when I woke up in the morning at around 7:30 am, I saw the missed call. There is no intimation of his program till yesterday evening /night. Had I got the information in time, I would have definitely come to meet him .”

I don’t know him.On the other hand, another Capt Amarinder Singh family loyalist ,Patiala mayor Sanjeev Sharma Bittu, who was supervising the cleanliness drive near the PRTC depot, came to meet the transport minister at PRTC depot. Warring hugged the mayor and greeted him warmly.  Bittu along with Raja Warring inspected the Patiala bus stand.

On the occasion warring said “the state government has already placed the order with TATA to supply 842 buses to the state. They will supply the chassis within a period of one month. Out of these 842 buses, PRTC will get 255 buses and rest goes to the PUNBUS.”
