Online technical lecture “Designing Conversational Agents for Programmer” by Punjabi University

Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Punjabi University, Patiala, organized an online technical lecture “Designing Conversational Agents for Programmer” for their B.Tech and M.Tech students under the ongoing Technical Lecture Series. The lecture was delivered by Dr. Sandeep Kuttal, College of Engineering and Natural Sciences, University of Tulsa, USA. The event was coordinated by Dr. Harpreet Kaur, Assistant Professor Department of Computer Science & Engineering. She welcomed all the dignitaries and students. Dr. Nirvair Neeru, Assistant Professor introduced about the expert to everyone. In her lecture, Dr. Kuttal said that conversational agent is a software program that responds to users by understanding the various natural languages like Punjabi, Hindi etc. It is a new technology powered by Artificial Intelligence.

On this occasion, the head of the department Dr. Raman Maini said that under the guidance of Prof. Arvind, vice chancellor Punjabi university Patiala, department is organizing such technical lectures from time to time to acquaint the students with the latest technologies. He said that with these kinds of efforts of the department, the students in the department are getting excellent placement in the various multinational companies. The inaugural function of the lecture was presided over by the Vice Chancellor Prof. Arvind. He expressed happiness over this technical lecture organized by the department and said that in this age of ever-changing technology, it is very important for the students to be aware of the latest technology. At the end Dr. Navjot Kaur, Assistant Professor formally presented the vote of thanks.
