Another former congress MLA joins AAP

Jassi Khangura(Jasbir Singh Khangura) a former Congress MLA, a social entrepreneur, businessman today joins aam admi party (AAP). AAP supermo Arvind Kejriwal inducted Khangura into AAP.
The Qila Raipur seat was previously dominated by Shiromani Akali Dal Patron Parkash Singh Badal and was the only seat in Punjab which the Congress had never won. Then in 2012 Jassi contested from Dakha as the Qila Raipur seat was abolished. Jassi lost here, but he got a record 55,820 votes, and no Congress candidate has been able to reach that figure in the next two subsequent elections. Jasbir Singh ‘Jassi’ Khangura has a medical degree from Oxford and he is a businessman in Ludhiana.
Khangura is married to a daughter of Congress leader Gurinder Singh Kairon and granddaughter of ex-Chief Minister of Punjab Pratap Singh Kairon. He has two children Sabina and Jaibir. He is the owner of Hotel Park Plaza Ludhiana.
After joining the Aam Aadmi Party, Jasbir Singh ‘Jassi’ Khangura said that the people of Punjab were fed up with the Congress. The Congress has now become a party of opportunists and power-hungry people. The poor and common people of Punjab are paying the price for the Congress leaders’ fight for the power.
