Young Nabhaites Association Sets a Unique Example in Social Service: Governor Gulab Chand Kataria

Punjab Governor Gulab Chand Kataria lauded the efforts of Young Nabhaites Association during a school bag distribution programme held at Nirmal Kutiya in village Khokh-Kotli near Nabha, stating that the initiatives being undertaken by youth in the fields of social service and education are an inspiration for other organisations as well.

On the occasion, the Governor specially honoured Simrandeep Kaur of village Biradwal, who recently secured 15th rank in the UPSC examination and became an IAS officer. MLA Nabha Gurdev Singh Dev Mann was also present. Upon learning that village Khokh has become drug-free, the Governor announced a grant of Rs 3 lakh for the development of the village and also declared a one-day holiday for both government schools in the village.

Governor Kataria said that distributing school bags to 100 students of two government schools in Khokh by Young Nabhaites Association is not merely an act of assistance, but a symbol of social responsibility and sensitivity towards education. He said education is the medium that leads children towards a bright future and strengthens society.

He further stated that affluent sections of society, industrialists and social organisations should also contribute under Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) towards education, digital learning and skill development of students studying in government schools.

Governor Gulab Chand Kataria also appreciated the spiritual outlook, social responsibility and drug-free lifestyle adopted by the residents of village Khokh. He remarked that their connection with Gurbani and collective spirit has made the village an inspiring model for others.

He also praised the efforts of Nirmal Kutiya Khokh, Nirmal Ashram and Sant Baba Ram Singh Ji in the fields of education, healthcare and humanitarian service.

The Governor said that in present times, it is essential to channel the energy of youth towards positive activities such as social service, education and awareness, and Young Nabhaites Association is doing commendable work in this direction.

On the occasion, villagers along with MLA Dev Mann accorded a special honour to Governor Gulab Chand Kataria. Members of Young Nabhaites Association, ADC (Rural Development) Damanjit Singh Mann, SDM Colonel APS Somal and Harjot Kaur Mavi, along with village residents, were also present during the programme.
