National Commission for Minority Education Institutions member Dr. Baltej Singh Mann interacted with the students of Sri Guru Granth Sahib World University, Fatehgarh Sahib. In his address to the students and faculty members of the University, Dr. Maan said that the central government and its different bodies like the ministry of HRD, University Grants Commission and national commission for minority educational institutions offers a wide range of scholarships to the students belonging to minorities and the students studying in minority educational institutions. He said that the faculty of an educational institution must make concerted efforts to spread awareness amongst the students regarding these schemes and facilities. He said that the students must benefit from these scholarships schemes. Dr. Maan was of the view that the students should inculcate leadership qualities in themselves so that they can work for the betterment of the society as a whole.
Earlier, Vice Chancellor of the University, Dr. Sukhdarshan Singh Khehra welcomed Dr. Baltej Singh Mann who interacts with the students of World University and gave a brief profile of his illustrious academic and administrative career. The Vice Chancellor assured Dr. Maan that the suggestions given by him will soon be put into practice. In the end, Registrar of the University, Dr. Pritpal Singh thanked the Dr. Baltej Singh for interacting with the students while Dr. Maan answered the queries of the students. Also present on the occasion were Dean Research of the University, Dr. R.K. Sharma, Dean Students Welfare Dr. BirBikram Singh, Head of the various departments of the University and S. Gurdayal Singh.
