Volunteers draw pictures in Thalassemia ward of Rajindra Hospital

Patiala- The volunteers of Youth Services Department and Active Citizens Youth Club chose to enliven lives of others during their summer camp. The group of youngsters took project of beautifying school and surroundings of village Kheri Gujjran and drew motivating pictures on the walls of Government Rajindra Hospital.  Assistant director Youth Services Dr Malkit Singh Mann stated that under Mission Tandarust Punjab and Swachh Bharat Internship Program these volunteers have worked.

Dr Malkit Singh Mann said that the volunteers cleaned surroundings of village and school as well as carried out plantation to make the village greener. After cleaning the walls of school, the volunteers decked it up with beautiful cartoons. The engaging cartoons found appreciation from students and the villagers. The volunteers also undertook plantation of more than 500 saplings.

Dr Mann said that the volunteers also drew cartoons and other animated characters on the walls of Thalassemia ward of the Government Rajindra Hospital which has brought smiles for the thalamessic children .

Program Officer Dr Rajiv Sharma appreciating the efforts of children said that the volunteers have shown their dedication with the completion of work. He added the wards has been filled with 16 cartoons giving it a completely new look.

Dr Mann added that volunteers Dushant Kumar, Maninderjot Singh, Amit Sharma, Jasmeet Singh, Isha Bansal, Devi Bansal, Garima Verma, Sukhmani Walia, Anindita Sharma, Lalit Bharadwaj, Surbhi gaur, Harjot, Bhawna, Vanshika, Pallavi and others have worked hard.
