Rupnagar police nab youth with 7 illegal weapons

Rupnagar Police have arrested 25-year old youth and recovered seven illegal weapons from his possession.
While talking to media persons Rupnagar Senior superintendent of police(SSP) Dr Sandeep Garg said that CIA staff team led by inspector Satnam Singh and sub inspector Avtar Singh under the supervision of SP(Detective) Harbir Singh Atwal and DSP (Detective) Jarnail Singh arrested Golu Rajput of Bhagat Singh Nagar falling under Dugri police station of Ludhiana district, from under the flyover near village Ahmadpur near Rupnagar and recovered 3 pistols 32 bore, one country made pistol a 32 bore, one country made pistol 12 bore, two country made pistols 315 bore and 11 live cartridges from his possession.
He said that police had made the arrest on the inputs provided by one gangster Bagga Khan, who was brought to Rupnagar from Faridkot Jail under production warrants in a separate case.
He said one Qasim had provided weapons to Golu. He said that police had registered a case under section 25/54/59 against the accused at Sadar Police Station, Rupnagar and investigation is being carried out.
Dr. Garg assured that there was no gangster active in Rupnagar district at present and most of them were lodged in jails. He said that any kind of illegal activity would not be tolerated in Rupnagar district and peace would be maintained.
