“ DGP Punjab, SSP Patiala is responsible for today’s Patiala law and order problem. All intelligence agencies, police agencies, central agencies has failed today. Now Punjab will lose its peace” said Yograj Sharma, Shiv Sena, State President, Punjab/

Sharma added that I had met the DGP Punjab, SSP Patiala and informed them that Shiv Sena has nothing to do with April 29, 2022 Khalistan Murdabad March organised by the Shiv Sena (Bal Thackeray) leader Harish Singla. It’s his personal call.

“It’s Punjab police, agencies failure; Shiv Sena expel leader for today’s Patiala incident”-Yograj Sharma. Sharma further added that a letter, a prior intimation to the SSP Patiala was given that “if anything untoward will happen than Harish Singla will be held responsible and Shiv Sena has nothing to do with it.”

Shiv Sena has expelled its leader Harish Singla, from anti party activities.

Today, Patiala city got tensed after a clash goes off between two religious communities, during an anti-Khalistan protest march today. The police fired in the air to disperse the crowd. At least two people are believed to have been injured in the clashes.

This all started after a call Khalistan Murdabad March organised by the Shiv Sena (Bal Thackeray) by shiv Sena leader Harish Singla.

Harish Singla, the executive president of the outfit, led the anti-separatist march from Patiala’s Arya Samaj Chowk to Kali Devi Temple.

Amid slogan-raising, Singla said: “The Shiv Sena will never allow Khalistan to be formed in Punjab or anywhere in India.”

Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann called the incident unfortunate and vowed his government would not let anyone create disturbance in the state.

“The incident of clashes in Patiala are deeply unfortunate. I spoke with the DGP (police chief), peace has been restored in the area. We are closely monitoring the situation and will not let anyone create disturbance in the State. Punjab’s peace and harmony is of utmost importance,” Mr Mann said.
