“As per the Notification No. DPIHE-COLOGOMISC/34/2021-COLLEGEEDUCATION-DPI-HIGHEREDUCATION, Chandigarh/6412 Dated 11/04/2011, Department of Higher Education, Govt. of Punjab, the assignment of conducting Common Entrance Test (CET) and Centralized Counseling for admission into B.Ed. course in all the education colleges in State of Punjab has been vested with Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar for the session 2022-23.

Prof. (Dr.) Amit Kauts, Coordinator, said that till date more than 8000 candidates have already registered. The final year examinations of UG courses in Punjab University as well as Punjabi University are still being conducted and there was a continuous representations from the prospective candidates for postponement of Entrance Test besides extension in last date of application. The advisory committee, constituted by the Vice-chancellor of Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar in an online meeting held on 27th June, 2022 discussed the representations of the candidates and the institutions concerned and decided to postpone the Common Entrance Test to 31st July, 2022 so that all the eligible candidates may get sufficient time to apply and appear for the Entrance Test.

Keeping in line, the last date to apply online has been extended to 15th July, 2022 in the interest of the candidates. The revised activity schedule has been updated on the admission portal Punjabbedadmissions.org. Common Entrance Test (CET) will comprise of examination pattern set in the form of Objective type questions only. The question paper would be in English and Punjabi medium. English as a language is compulsory for all whereas candidates would be given option in choosing either Punjabi or Hindi language based on their matriculation profile.

Prof. Kauts, while updating on the admission process, also highlighted that the Technical Team of experts is regularly addressing to the queries of the participants for the smooth functioning and facilitation of the online updates and ancillary functions.  He also added that applicants and participants can share their queries and views on [email protected] and contact on 01832823183.
