Punjab gets new Advocate General; second in AAP’s four month term in Punjab

After the resignation of Anmol Rattan Singh as AG Punjab, senior advocate Vinod Ghai is going to be the next advocate general, Punjab.

Top government sources confirmed that Ghai’s name has been finalised and the process was on to appoint him. However, a formal notification is awaited. Sources close to Ghai’s family also confirmed that talks were on with the Punjab government.

Talking to a private news channel, Vinod Ghai himself disclosed this that chief minister Bhagwant Mann has called and inform him about his appointment as AG,Punjab. He said my appointment has been made of merit.

The son of noted criminal lawyer, late RS Ghai, 62-year-old Vinod Ghai is a practicing at Punjab and Haryana High Court at Chandigarh since 1989. Specialization in Criminal law. Designated Senior Advocate since 2012, He is expert in Murder Cases. Vinod Ghai has argued maximum bail applications and murder appeals in punjab and Haryana High Court with success.
