After IIT, PSPCL and Punjab Engineering College signs MoU for Technical Collaboration and Research

Punjab Engineering College (Deemed to be University), Chandigarh, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Punjab State Power Corporation Limited (PSPCL) today, aimed at fostering technical support and research collaborations.

The delegation from PSPCL, led by Er. Ravinder Singh Saini (Director HR), Er. Parmjeet Singh (Director – Generation), and Er. Abhiraj Singh Randhawa (Principal Technical Training Institute), Er. Anupam Joshi (Director, The/Nudge Institute) was warmly welcomed by Prof. Rajesh Kumar Bhatia, Director PEC, along with Prof. Rajesh Kanda (Head, Alumni, Corporate & International Relations), Prof. J.D. Sharma (Head, MMED), Prof. Uma Batra (Dean Faculty Affairs), Prof. Jimmy Karloopia (Professor-In-Charge, ACIR), and  Rajinder Kaur (Manager, ACIR) from PEC.

In his address, Er. Ravinder Singh Saini emphasized PSPCL’s commitment to providing technical support and engaging in research initiatives that would benefit both institutions. Prof. Rajesh Kumar Bhatia expressed his enthusiasm for this collaboration, underscoring the importance of building lasting partnerships that contribute to innovation and technical excellence. Prof. Rajesh Kanda initiated the signing proceedings of the MoU, and Prof. J.D. Sharma provided an overview of the agreement’s terms, highlighting the mutual benefits of this partnership.

Following the formal signing ceremony, the PSPCL delegation, accompanied by PEC faculty members, visited the Departments of Electrical Engineering and Materials & Metallurgical Engineering, as well as the Siemens Centre. During the tour, discussions were held on potential areas of cooperation in research and development, with active participation from PEC’s faculty members, including those from the departments of Electrical Engineering and Materials and Metallurgical Engineering.

After IIT, PSPCL and Punjab Engineering College signs MoU for Technical Collaboration and Research. This MoU is expected to strengthen the relationship between PEC and PSPCL by promoting impactful technical exchanges, research collaborations, and innovative joint ventures that will contribute to advancements in both academia and the power sector.
