5G will usher a new era in seamless fast and reliable communications: Kamal

To commemorate the occasion of Nationwide 5G launch ceremony from Pragati Maidan led by Prime Minister, Narendra Modi; Institution of Engineers (India) held a National seminar on the title, “Wireless Communication Technologies and Mobile Networks”, at Bathinda. Dr T S Kamal former Professor of Electronics & Communication Engg, Punjab Engg College Chandigarh and Ex-Vice President IE(I) Chaired the event organized by Bathinda centre of IE(I). Speaking on the occasion, Dr Kamal said that 5G will usher a new era in seamless fast, reliable and affordable communication in the country. He lauded the role being played by the Indian Engineering fraternity in this direction.

Speaking on the occasion Dr Savina Bansal, Professor of Electronics Communication, a former Dean (Academics) of MRSPTU and Ex-Director Giani Zail Singh Engg College Bathinda, elaborated challenges before the Engineering community for hassle free 5G delivery of service to the countrymen. Welcoming the guests, Chairman IE(I) Bathinda Centre Dr Jagtar Singh of Punjabi University, Yadavindra Deptt of Engg, Talwandi Sabo, highlighted the journey of communication from 1G to 5G through a PPT presentation.

On the occasion, Er Manoj Kuma Bhatheja Deputy General Manager BSNL, Bathinda emphasized the role being played by BSNL to bring 5G technology at the doorstep of customers. Speaking on the occasion Dr R K Bansal, Director PIT Nandgarh expounded the role played by communication technology in e-governance and also in nailing down worldwide terrorism activities to a considerable extent. First October is also celebrated as Birthday of BSNL each year. Dr Bansal also congratulated BSNL and its staff for providing competitive last mile connectivity to the end user.

5G will usher a new era in seamless fast and reliable communications: Kamal .Several technocrats including Er Amandeep Kaur of GZSCET Bathinda; Dr Manpreet Kaur, Er Gurpreet Bharti, Er Gagandeep Kaur, Er Seema Baghla and Chandandeep Singh of Yadavindra Deptt of Engg; Er Navjot Kaur of Punjabi Univ Maur Campus along with Er Harsimran Singh of Baba Farid Inst of Engg & Tech participated in the National seminar and presented their papers. Dr Ram Kishan of Mata Gujri College, Chaired the Seminar session. Dr Amandeep Kaur of Yadavindra Deptt of Engg conducted the stage. Er J S Deol, Honorary Secretary IE(I) proposed vote of thanks.
