75th Founder’s Day of Patiala’s first private co-ed school celebrated with enthusiasm

75th Founder’s Day was celebrated at Modern Senior Secondary School on 21st January, 2023 in the school’s sprawling grounds to commemorate its founder Sardar Mohan Singh who not only founded the school in 1948 but also bequeathed resources for its development.
A heart whelming tribute was given to Sardar Mohan Singh who founded the school with the main objective of imparting value based education to boys and girls in the royal city of Patiala. His vision was to develop and nurture the potential of each student, both academically and otherwise.
The day was celebrated with fervor, zest and enthusiasm by the esteemed alumni of the school, who especially came to the school to express their gratitude. The highlight of the event were the cultural programme presented by the students and the awards ceremony wherein the trophies and awards like Vijay Rattan, Excellence in Sports, Character Award, Writing Award, Dr. Saronwala Trust Award for Academic Excellence and overall achievement of the student during the last academic year.
These trophies were given away by the Chairman, Jujhar Singh, revered Managing Committee members and the eminent alumni of the school. Jujhar Singh congratulated the students and encouraged them to work even harder in the years to come. He further added that apart from academics it is of utmost importance for the students to build empathy for their fellow beings.
