Maharaja Ranjit Singh Punjab Technical University (MRSPTU), Bathinda, Vice Chancellor, Prof. Buta Singh Sidhu, Registrar Dr. Gurinder Pal Singh Brar, university faculty and staff mourned the death of former Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal.
In his condolence message, describing Parkash Singh Badal as a pious soul, visionary and a remarkable statesman, whose contribution to the establishment of MRSPTU is immense and always be remembered, Prof. Buta Singh Sidhu led the faculty and staff to extend their condolences to the family and prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul.
Rich tributes were paid to Parkash Singh Badal at a brief prayer ceremony held at campus auditorium. Prof. Buta Singh Sidhu and Dr. Gurinder Pal Singh led the university faculty and staff in paying tributes to the departed leader and observed two minute silence as a mark of respect to the great grassroots leader, who endeared himself to the masses by working tirelessly for the state and nation’s development with special reference to Bathinda’s transformation.
In a press release issued here on Wednesday, the MRSPTU family expressed profound grief over the demise of Parkash Singh Badal. “May his soul rest in peace,” said the statement.
