IBM-ICE Day celebrated at Lamrin Tech Skills University

The IBM-ICE ( Innovation Centre for Education) Day 2023 was organised by the Department of B.Tech Computer Science and Engineering (Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning) in collaboration with IBM . Dr. H.P.S. Dhami, Dean, University School of Engineering & Technology, Welcomed the dignitaries, staff and students present. He highlighted the importance of collaborating the academic courses of LTSU Punjab with anchor partner IBM.
The IBM-ICE ( Innovation Centre for Education ) DAY’23 address was delivered by Viqaruddin Surki, Head- Program Delivery, IBM. He spoke on the IBM programme offered at Lamrin Tech Skills University Punjab and the importance of various events conducted on IBM-ICE DAY’23. In his key note speech, Surki highlighted the recent innovations in IT world such as the importance of technologies like Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Cybersecurity, Data Science and Internet of Things in the present-day context.
Dr. Sandeep Kaura, Chancellor, LTSU Punjab,in his presidential address, focussed on the challenges and opportunities in the field of Computing Science.
Poster presentation competition was organised on the theme related to the latest futuristic technologies like Machine learning, Artificial Intelligence, Cyber security and IoT. These competitions were judged by the jury members from IBM: Ramnath Shanbhag, IBM
Delivery Manager Western Region and Chidanand Eswar Rao, IBM -Delivery Manager, Southern Region.
IBM-ICE Day celebrated at Lamrin Tech Skills University. The medals and certificates for all the winners were presented by the IBM Team, Prof. B.S. Satyal (Registrar), Dr Dhami (Dean), Amandeep SIngh (Head-USOE) along with CSE faculty members- Meenakshi Sharma , Aruna Bhatia, and Sukhwinder Kaur. Manmeet kaur, ManikPreet singh and Monish Mahay of B.Tech students bagged the first prize , Khushwinder singh and Gagandeep Singh of B.Tech students got second position and Karamjit kaur, Ishwar and Narinder singh of B.Tech students got third position. The winners of the Non Technical course were Muskan and Jaspreet got first position; Ankush, Shubham, Amit, Sukhpreet and Jaspreet got second position; and Tania, Natasha and Eshita got third position. All staff and students of university were present on the occasion.
