Beware power thieves: PSPCL is watching you; imposes Rs 45 lacs to 117 consumers for power theft

PSPCL enforcement teams of Amritsar, Bathinda,Jalandhar,Ludhiana and Patiala circles along with Police officials have launched a massive drive to check the menace of theft of electricity in the different parts of the state and has achieved great success in this campaign. This was disclosed by spokesman of PSPCL in a press note here today.
Spokesman disclosed that joint raids were conducted in the premises of more than 900 consumers of different categories by the enforcement teams of PSPCL in Lehragaga,Moonak, Rampura phul,Mansa, Raikot,Bhai Bhakta,Nakodar ,Amarkotand Tarn Taran areas.
Spokesman also said that a sum of rupees 44.84 lacs imposed as fine to 117 number of consumers for theft of electricity and unauthorised use of electricity etc.
PSPCL also appealed to all its esteemed consumers to help PSPCL in controlling the menace of theft of electricity. The consumers can contribute to the campaign against theft of electricity by providing true information about theft of power on Whatsapp no 96461-75770. PSPCL assured its consumers that their identity will not be disclosed.
