Punjabi University Student bring laurels; won National Bankathon at Bengaluru

A team of Aditya Pal Singh, student of 4th year of Computer Science & Engineering Department of Punjabi University, Patiala emerged victorious in a National level competition “Large Language Models Bankathon 1.0”, organized by Axis Bank in collaboration with HackerEarth and Amazon Web Services (AWS).

This was a national event of repute in which teams from various top institutions like IITs, NITs, Central/State Universities have participated from various parts of the country. In this two phased competition, first phase was an online competition out of which top 10 teams qualified for Final round. The second and final round was organized at Headquarters of Axis Bank at Bengaluru where teams were challenged to develop some robust solutions for real problems of organizations.

Aditya Pal Singh along with his team members Aditya Gupta, Mayank Bansal and Abhinav Narang developed a new kind of software tool which can help in improving functionality of organization employees to a great extent. This software tool has the power of Generative AI to revolutionize the banking sector by enhancing the understanding and analysis of employee KRAs.

The champion team has been awarded with a prize money of Rs. 2 Lac from Event organizers for their out of the box software solution for the given problem.

Punjabi University Student bring laurels; won National Bankathon at Bengaluru. On this occasion Dr. Himanshu Aggarwal, Head of Computer Science & Engineering Department expressed his pleasure on his student’s achievement and congratulated him.

Dr. Himanshu Aggarwal has told that department faculty is committed to bring best out of children and always motivate them to accept new challenges.
