MOU between TIET, Patiala and PRSC, Ludhiana in the field of research collaboration

Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology (TIET), Patiala and the Punjab Remote Sensing Centre (PRSC), Ludhiana have formally inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in various areas of cooperation, including joint research projects, data sharing, technology transfer, and collaborative educational initiatives.
The objectives of this MoU are to foster research collaboration between TIET and PRSC to conduct credible and reliable research specific to the Punjab region.
The MoU may include provisions for training and capacity building in the fields of precision agriculture, AI, IoT, and remote sensing, to equip stakeholders with the necessary knowledge and skills. The collaboration aims to share research findings, best practices, and knowledge related to precision agriculture and its applications in the region, benefiting the wider agricultural community.
The partnership aims to leverage expertise in precision agriculture and remote sensing technologies. By working together and focusing on these objectives, TIET and PRSC can contribute to the development and adoption of precision agriculture in Punjab, India, bringing about positive changes in the agricultural sector while promoting sustainability and environmental stewardship.
Under the watchful gaze of scientists and faculty members from both institutions, Professor Ajay Batish, Deputy Director of TIET, Patiala, and Dr. Brijendra Pateriya, Director of PRSC, Ludhiana, have officially inked the MOU. The following members were present in the ceremony: Prof Ajay Batish (Deputy Director, TIET, Patiala) and Dr. Brijendra Pateriya (Director PRSC, Ludhiana)
