Congress sounds poll bugle; releases first list of candidates for Lok Sabha elections

The Congress on Friday released the first list of 39 candidates across eight states namely from Chhattisgarh, Karnataka, Kerala, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Sikkim, Telangana, and Tripura and one Union Territory Lakshwdeep for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.
Congress party mascot and former party president Rahul Gandhi will contest from Kerala’s Wayanad for the second time.
Of the 39 candidates announced, 15 are from the general caste and 24 are from SC/ST/minorities.
