Buses to stay off roads in Punjab as PRTC, PUNBUS staff calls strike

State owned Pepsu Road Transport Corporation (PRTC) and PUNBUS buses are going to stay off roads in Punjab on Tuesday- march 12,2024 as their employees has given a strike call.
The commuters across Punjab may suffer while travelling as the government buses will not ply across the state on March 12 after 12 pm.
The contractual bus employees from across Punjab have also announced that they will gherao the Punjab Vidhan Sabha on March 13.
During the gate rally held by the contractual employees of PUNBUS and PRTC in Ludhiana, it was announced that government buses will not run across Punjab after 12 noon on March 12.
Buses to stay off roads in Punjab as PRTC, PUNBUS staff calls strike. The leaders of PUNBUS and PRTC said that the government has taken a U-turn on its promises made to them. They are demanding the salary increase, adoption of contractual employees , stoppage of Kilometer scheme buses etc.
